At a certain stage of life all women go through menopause. Symptoms can
range from very mild with almost no symptoms, to quite extreme symptoms
that can affect how we live our everyday lives. Whatever your symptoms
are, homeopathic remedies may be just what you need.
In an observational study done (link below) on hot flushes "Ninety percent
of the women reported disappearance or lessening of their symptoms,
these changes mostly taking place within 15 days of starting
This is only one of the symptoms many women get in menopause. It doesn't mention any of the other symptoms that women get or the amazing results seen in those.
So how does the process work and why should I try homeopathy?
Well, homeopathy is about balancing the body. When we go through the hormonal changes at menopause the body is out of balance until the process is finished, so it makes sense to use homeopathy.
In homeopathy we look at the symptoms you are having which includes both the physical and emotional state of the individual person. We look at what makes you the unique person you are, then prescribe remedies on the whole picture, not just the symptoms.
Is this something I can treat myself?
The answer is yes, and no. There are remedies that you can use over the counter and they may suit some of the symptoms but they are usually not individualised enough. The potency and frequency is something that really needs experience to get right, as well as the remedy or remedies. Things change after taking remedies too and they often need adjusted or a remedy changed. This really needs a qualified homeopath.
Unfortunately it's not like a cold that home prescribers can often have success with where they can swap and change remedies quickly.
You are not alone!
An important thing to remember is that you are not alone in this. Women have been going through these symptoms forever. It is a phase in life and it passes. We are here to help and listen too.
What about herbs?
Herbs are another good thing to use for menopause. Yes, you can use these alongside homeopathy and we do advise on suppliments that we believe will be of benefit for you too.
Where to from here?
Making an appointment is the first step. You don't need to tell us what its about when you
book but if you do thats fine too. When you come to the appointment we have a
conversation about whats going on. It takes a while but we cover lots.
A remedy will either be prescribed at the time or in the next few days. This will either be sent
out to you or available for you to pick up. There will be instructions with the remedy or they
will be messaged to you. Generally we would like to see you again in about 4-6 weeks and possibly
contact in between if needed.
See the contact page on the website or message to book.
